Elder Scrolls Online – Maps

Tuesday, July 30th, 2013

The elder scrolls online map of Tamriel is quite large. It is exepected that players will be able to explore up to 50% of the map at launch, with other zones coming online as DLC (Downloadable Content) sometime later. The original map of the world as seen HERE is quite vague. However, with the closed beta and some investigative work done by the fanbase, some nice fan made maps have started showing up. These are quite detailed. You can see the more popular areas of Skyrim, Morrowind, and Hammerfell.

We found this one too, its not specific to Elder Scrolls Online, but it is a eso map of the world of Tamriel:

On the other side of the world, our german friends have come up with a interactive version of the elder scrolls online map of Tamriel. What I really like about this version, is that you can turn on/off various settings like town names, vegetation, or politics. While those are nice, what I really like is the addition of screenshots added by location that you can hover over and get a feel for the different scenery that you will find in those areas.

But don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself. Interactive ESO Map. Just be sure to click the English checkbox on the upper right side. These images will change over time as the fanbase learns more about the different areas and more images become available.

Coming soon, we will discuss the latest Ask Us Anything. These are various Q&A discussions that the fans have asked the developers about. While they are mostly forthcoming with information, they are can be vague and sometimes down right cryptic in their replies. We will delve into their latest responses and discuss what this means for the game overall.
