Warhammer Online Patch 1.3.5 On PTS

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

Warhammer Online Patch 1.3.5 On PTSA Major warhammer online patch has been released on the PTS. This patch covers some of the major things players have wanted in the game.

Here are some of the major additions to this patch. Keep in mind this is not everything. If you want the full list of all the patch goodness released you can view it HERE. If you just want to see the greatest things to come out with this patch then read below and view them.

– Defenders and Invaders will both have a chance at obtaining some of the best items available in the game, including Sovereign equipment!
– All PVE instances within the Contested city will be disabled
– City sieges will now last a maximum of 2 hours.
– City sieges will now be a 24 versus 24 battle.

– All present at the conclusion of any Stage within the Contested City will have a reward lockout timer applied to character. This reward lockout timer will force us to opt out of Public Quest loot for that specific Stage for the duration of the timer. We will be able to participate in a Contested City battle even if you have a reward lockout applied to our avatars and rewarded with spoils in the form of Crests.

– All exiting the Contested City after the setup phase will have all three Stages reward lockout timers applied to our avatars. This is to discourage players from leaving a Contested City battle mid-way through if it appears his or her Realm is going to lose.

When patch will be relesed? Probably around 10th April. Well I’m thinking about small break – 2-3 months without Warhammer Online can be good, even I miss something. They are talking also to change Marauder mutation to make him real dual-wield class – as you probably know, now Marauder off hand is “mirror” of his main hand. Is it good? Well I really don’t want to farm another weapon but if they change this feature, well I it isn’t so bad idea. I hate scenarios! After few hundreds Reikland Factory I’m sick of them…

Warhammer Staff Gives An Apology For Billing Mess up

Warhammer Staff Gives An Apology For Billing Mess upThe other day the executive producer for warhammer online gave an apology for the giant billing fiasco that affected thousands of players at the very least.

This apology is in response to the billing mistake that happened between March 18 and April 7. A majority of players where being billed for multiple months of warhammer online access. Worst of all it cost some players upwards of 300 dollars causing them to be over drafted for many day to day payments they needed. There was even one story of a father who could not get his daughter her birthday presents because he simply had no money from the billing error and overdraft fees.

The staff of warhammer has announced in order to help fix this problem they did the following: First of all all people who where over billed had a refund granted within 2-3 business days. They also worked would the banks to reverse the over draft fees if any occurred.

Secondly they have increased their on support staff to not only deal with any problems that arise, but mainly to help them make sure something like this will never happen again. They have had the extra staff sine April 13th and no other mistakes have come about now.

The last big gift to all players is in the form gifts and extra experience given in the game. Here is a direct quote from the article over at

For starters all players will earn 100% bonus experience and renown when killing enemies and monsters for two weeks. As well, during this time we’ll be hard at work designing and implementing a special vendor. This vendor will only accept special tokens that will be sent to the mailbox of players effected by the billing error, using these two tokens each of your characters will be able to receive two of the following items:

* Bottomless Chaos Black Dye
* Bottomless Skull White Dye
* Imperial Griffon Mount (Order)
* Enslaved Manticore Mount (Destruction)
* WAR Tract – earn a free level
* Choose from any of these pets – Order: Imperial Hunting Hound or Dwarf Keg Handler; Destruction: Warlord’s Fell Hound or the Goblin Bar-Back.
* Change your appearance with any of these illusion items: Skaven Skin Cloak (skaven), Kossar’s Helm (bear), or the Signet of the Cursed Company (skeleton)

Im sure some people where fired over this fiasco. They are trying to do damage control very well, but it might be too late as a lot of players may have left due to being pissed that a company could let this happen to them.
