The other day the executive producer for warhammer online gave an apology for the giant billing fiasco that affected thousands of players at the very least.
This apology is in response to the billing mistake that happened between March 18 and April 7. A majority of players where being billed for multiple months of warhammer online access. Worst of all it cost some players upwards of 300 dollars causing them to be over drafted for many day to day payments they needed. There was even one story of a father who could not get his daughter her birthday presents because he simply had no money from the billing error and overdraft fees.
The staff of warhammer has announced in order to help fix this problem they did the following: First of all all people who where over billed had a refund granted within 2-3 business days. They also worked would the banks to reverse the over draft fees if any occurred.
Secondly they have increased their on support staff to not only deal with any problems that arise, but mainly to help them make sure something like this will never happen again. They have had the extra staff sine April 13th and no other mistakes have come about now.
The last big gift to all players is in the form gifts and extra experience given in the game. Here is a direct quote from the article over at warhammeronline.com
For starters all players will earn 100% bonus experience and renown when killing enemies and monsters for two weeks. As well, during this time we’ll be hard at work designing and implementing a special vendor. This vendor will only accept special tokens that will be sent to the mailbox of players effected by the billing error, using these two tokens each of your characters will be able to receive two of the following items:
* Bottomless Chaos Black Dye
* Bottomless Skull White Dye
* Imperial Griffon Mount (Order)
* Enslaved Manticore Mount (Destruction)
* WAR Tract – earn a free level
* Choose from any of these pets – Order: Imperial Hunting Hound or Dwarf Keg Handler; Destruction: Warlord’s Fell Hound or the Goblin Bar-Back.
* Change your appearance with any of these illusion items: Skaven Skin Cloak (skaven), Kossar’s Helm (bear), or the Signet of the Cursed Company (skeleton)
Im sure some people where fired over this fiasco. They are trying to do damage control very well, but it might be too late as a lot of players may have left due to being pissed that a company could let this happen to them.
So now lets give you something amazing. An amazing developer diary from bioware was released today.
Its showing all the great new SWTOR combat in the game. The game apparently has all the choreographed moves in the game. It also lets you decide on how you want to do damage such as charging a weapon in the game or not. You can also fight with multiple styles such as being a bounty hunter for close combat, or a smuggler for long distance attacks. This game is going to have everything in it. Of course in the game you can be both the sith and jedis.
Also while sith and jedis are very powerful in the game they made sure to make it all balanced. All characters have powers over one another so its fully balanced. For example if you are a bounty hunter and a jedi goes after you, you can use a move to get more distance from the jedi and give you an advantage in the game. They end the video diary by saying they want you to feel what its like to be darth vader, or hand solo. Welcome to the most amazing MMO to date.
So last week a member of scrolls of lore was able to go on a trip to Irving California and view the Blizzard HQ.
There he was given a tour of the entire facility and was allowed to take pictures of the whole event. Well apparently he took some pictures of things not suppose to be released yet.
That item was a uncropped version of the deathwing picture for wow cataclysm. This picture shows you the human form of deathwing in the game. On top of that there is a plethora of new pictures for wow cataclysm. Enjoy the full set of pictures. If you have ever played fallout then you know it was and is one of the greatest games ever. Here is in a nut shell whats going on.
The original creator of fallout, interplay, wants to create a fallout MMO. Bethesda who bought the rights to create the new fallout games is arguing that they own the rights to the game so nothing can be made. Interplay already pissed off Bethesda by releasing a trilogy pack with the original fallout, fallout 2, and fallout tactics.
In court a judge threw out Bethesda request to stop interplay from selling anymore copies of the trilogy and working anymore on the MMO. Also Bethesda dropped an appeal on that injunction which is great news. However the vice president of Bethesda, Pete Hines, stated “That is still ongoing and has not been resolved. It is a minor procedural thing that took place, not a dropping of the lawsuit.”
So no one is quite sure whats going happen, but here’s to hoping a fallout MMO is created and is has all the things we enjoyed from the original. However i am disappointed they followed a 3rd person perspective instead of the original above perspective, but Bethesda proved it can be done so who knows.

Here is a very easy way to gain a ton of easy gold per hour by just using a tank. For my account i used a paladin which was one of the easiest classes to use if its fully geared out for PvP.
All you need to do is travel to zerg booty bay. Find a player now that needs to get the bloodsail admiral title. Have them pay you 1k to 2.5k for the run through.
Now just have him sit back and go in there with your tank and quickly help him get his title. Its pretty easy for you to do and players such a rogues are more than willing to pay in order to get this title. Well there is an easy way to get your title in no time flat.
Gamestop without any notice just started putting up images stating that anyone that preorders sc2 gets a free beta invite to the game.
This is somewhat of a jerk move because all the players that pre ordered the game months ago are not being called about this extra perk they are getting. The only way they can get in on this action is if they drive to a gamestop and tell them that they have preordered the game.
If you haven’t already preordered one of this years best games then you should run over to your local gamestop and get a preorder and your beta key. Blizzard just announced that started next week players will get access to the creator tools, so a flurry of new content is going to show up online for custom made beta games. If you saw the preview a few months back you can make an entire fps with just these tools, however lots of players are excited for new custom game types such as the famous ones players on the Warcraft 3 Servers.
Blizzard in a surprise move today banned more than 350,000 players of both diablo 2 and Warcraftcraft 3.
Most all these players where banned for using 3rd party programs not as intended. This will be a great thing for those diablo 2 fans that started hating the fact every game had a RMT spammer or a hammerdin bot. As for warcraft 3 it will be somewhat nice to play the old school battles without someone using a map hack to see where you are. The ban was said to also be permanent so no one can actually dispute it which more than likely means they have a new way to detect players maliciously using software to their advantage.
This might be another way for activision to make more money on players as well some have said since they are going to be needing it since infinity ward is no more. The only silver lining for some cheaters is if they where banned for cheating and this is their first offense then they can play again after waiting 30 days.
Today was a pretty big day as warner brothers has decided to buy the studio turbine games.
Along with them not only acquiring the game lord of the rings online, they also now have the game asherons call under them. This is a giant step for them to take as its a new area for them, but warner brothers has been buying other game studios such as earlier this year when Arkham Asylum creator rocksteady games. Hopefully this will give the studio an even greater resource pool so they can even make both asherons call and lotro all the better.
